Tasty
I love Avocado and I love Tomato.
Put them together, add a pinch of salt &
some Edamame mix from the salad
bar at Loblaws and voilĂ , a perfect dinner.
I just have to eat slower.
I eat too fast.
This really is tasty.

A Great Day. A Not So Great Evening.
I spent yesterday with my parents.
It was a beautiful sunny day, we went for a walk to
The Apple Market, we sat in the sun on the balcony
and I really enjoyed spending time with my parents.
On my way home, I didn't feel so good so I turned
around and went back to my parents house.
Not how I wanted the day to end.
I spent the night there and came home today.
I feel better today and now I'll have to get
5 days of work done in 4 days.
C'est la vie.

A Spring Morning
I was overjoyed to see the bright sky when I woke up this morning.
I don't think I could've taken another grey dull rainy day.
Unfortunately, I gave Crockett a bit too tight of a hug this morning
and he gave a little "ow" sound. This of course is like getting
stabbed in the heart with a dagger.
His tail straightened and he's been avoiding eye contact.
He was happy when I said "Walkies" but then I had
to chase him around the apartment to get his leash on.
Crockett is a Pug. When he's happy, his tail is curled.
When he has a sore back, it is straight.
His tail is the beacon of my happiness.
He enjoyed the walk, but was a little slower than usual and he spent
the majority of the time with his nose to the ground taking in
all the new fresh spring aromas.
Straight Pug Tail.
Is it wrong of me to say that I am disappointed that
they selected to plant this entire bed of Tulips in a very
dull dark purple color.
I was hoping for something brighter.
Toad stools always make me think of Peter Pan.
The park was full of people this morning.
I'm sure this afternoon it'll be filled with Brides, Grooms,
wedding parties and photographers.
I don't know what the name of this plant is but I love it.
It looks like rubber and feels like velvet.
It also looks like something that should be underwater or in an aquarium.
If you click on the photo to make it bigger, you can see
small droplets of water trapped in the leaves.
Enjoying the Sun.
I took this with the zoom lens.
He did look at me!
He is too cute.
A close up tree bud.

Epiphany
For the last few days, I've been almost stuck
in deep thought, reflection and preoccupation with the
question "what do I want out of life?"
Mid-life crisis? No.
Mid-life review? Sort of.
I'm not reflecting upon my life up to now.
I've already spent enough time doing that.
I can't change what's in the past. I can only
hope to learn from all my experiences both positive
and negative and move forward a better me.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, my life is not perfect.
I don't think anyone's life is perfect really.
If I was asked, I don't think I could clearly explain what
a perfect life for me would consist of, what it would look like.
I do, have aspects of my life, that make me realize I am blessed.
I recognize that and I am grateful.
I recognize that and I am grateful.
The "what do I want out of life" question is actually a selfish question.
I've never been a selfish person. In fact, one of my biggest faults
is that I've never been selfish. Not in the arrogant way, but
in the way of taking care of my own needs and happiness above
the needs and happiness of others.
If I could describe myself in one word it would be, caregiver.
I don't want to change that, I just want to include myself in it!
I had a feeling come over me yesterday, a sort of light bulb feeling.
A switch was turned on and I had real clarity.
What's that called? An Epiphany?
My thoughts were very precise, logical, sensible and
I could clearly see the way to get the place where I want to be.
I'm going with it and putting it into action.
I'm not ready to share details yet.
I will. One day.
I promise.

Out Of Humor
I admit freely that I woke up this morning, not only on the
wrong side of the bed, but on the wrong side of the world.
Rating myself, 0 being not easily irritated and 10 being
very easily irritated, I am a 15 today.

very easily irritated, I am a 15 today.
Irritated:
adjective annoyed, cross, angry, bothered, put out, pissed (Brit., Austral., & N.Z. taboo slang), harassed, impatient, ruffled, exasperated, irritable, nettled, vexed, pissed off (taboo slang), displeased, flustered, peeved (informal), piqued, out of humor.
It’s a bit concerning, as there is nothing about
today that is different from any other day.
I think I am just ready for the sun to shine.
The rain and greyness is getting to me.

The rain and greyness is getting to me.
Today, I fear the smallest thing will transform into
the living engine of destruction that is The Hulk.

Just writing about my irritated mood has made me feel a bit better.
Let’s just hope today isn’t the day that there
is an asshole (pardon my French) on the
bus or subway on the way home today!

Listen to the Birdses Precious
This morning at 4:30 I was awakened by
the birds outside singing.
They sing every morning and I love it.
The difference is this morning, Yonge St was closed
for the Good Life 10k so there was no traffic noise.
That is a gift. No buses, no taxis.
I opened a window, grabbed my camera, laid back
down, set it to video
and just recorded. It was really lovely.
You can just vaguely see my open window
and the pre-sunrise sky.
Adam or Crockett thankfully weren't snoring!
Sadly about 10 minutes later, 3 young folk who were just
leaving a party were standing across the street talking to each
other or, actually, yelling at each other. I was so irritated.
We finally get a break from traffic and now
we have to hear post party drunk talk.
Someone from the bldg next door after about
15 minutes yelled at them to shut up.
They yelled back they were waiting for a cab.
Odd that they didn't notice right away
the lack of any vehicles.
Ahhh drunken youth.
Nature 1. Man 0.
