An Update, Some Flowers, and an Awesome Pug.

My eyes are at about 80%.  This morning before I took Crockett for our Saturday morning walk, I checked my e-mail and got very dizzy from moving my eyes back and forth too quickly while reading.

I still haven't been able to read a book and watching TV is really only comfortable for about an hour at a time.  It is frustrating but I am thankful that I got my vision back to where it is right now.

I went to the Neurological Ophthalmologist on Thursday. He thinks it might be my Sarcoidosis, but will need to do a few more tests, one being another MRI. Crap. I do have signs of Sarcoidosis on my skin. It's scary to think of it in my eyes or my brain! Time (and tests) will tell.

On my walk this morning with Crockett, with my dizziness, I wasn't feeling all that great.  Along with quite a few eye shots to see if they were wonky, I took some nice flower and Crockett shots.

 and.....we're done.

Around Here

I've been back at work now for 2 weeks.  At about 2:00pm, my eyes hit the wall. They feel like rocks with rose thorns growing out of them.  I rest them on the ride home but feel like I need a nap the minute I walk in the door.

I've been going to bed early every weeknight.  I did stay up late to watch Cmdr Hadfield land and as amazing as it was, I paid for it the next day.

I woke up this morning with a headache.  The 1st real one since the "ordeal". I did do too much yesterday so it's my fault.  Thank goodness it's a long weekend. Today has been a relaxing day. Tomorrow I'll do all the chores and tidying up. Monday will be another day to relax and just enjoy spending time at home.

Mom is doing really good and everyday I count my blessings. With all that has happened, life has really been put into perspective.

These are just some photos of what's been going on around here the last few days.

As I was getting ready for work Friday I looked out the window & saw this.  I WILL be going to see it!

This is another banner that is just by my bus stop. I took this photo as I was listening to "On My Own".

I love Crockett. He loves smelling the Spring air.

I can almost smell these just looking at the photo. The tree was so big and healthy, and full of blossoms.

These pink flowers were as big as my hand with all fingers extended.

Really, they were big. Pretty too.

Poor Raggedy Ann ended up in a dumpster.

I've been taking multiple "selfie" shots of my eyes at all angles.  This one also shows some of the additional grey hair that has been sprouting at a faster rate in the last few weeks.  All fully earned.

These 2 quotes are just good to read, for anyone!

What The Hell Is With My Eye?

This has happened a few times, but it's never looked this creepy.

On Sunday I woke up with a red dot on my right eye. Burst a blood vessel, maybe I sneezed too hard or summat.  This morning, it was almost gone but for a very tiny bright red dot.

Well, I'm tired after just having finished watching the 1st Presidential Debate (Obama needed to be tougher and kick Romney's ass on his BS and inaccuracies, but I digress...).  I looked in the mirror while brushing my teeth and...BAM!

What the fuck eye? I hope this goes away and fast. It is creepy.  It doesn't hurt and it isn't affecting my vision but still. Eeew. My eye does look a little puffy.

Blood Shot Eye

I got home from work today (yay early Friday)
and I felt haggard. The first thing I did was change into my jammies
and lay down for a cuddle with Crockett and a nap.
Well, sadly Crockett wanted nothing to do with me.
For whatever reason, my eyelids that,
at 12:30pm were so heavy, I could've fallen asleep at my desk,
were suddenly wide awake.

I went into the loo to wash my hands and noticed something weird with my right eye.

What happened?

This has actually happened a few times over the last year or so & it seems
to coincide with my being over tired.

Anything to do with my eyes or blood vessels kinda creeps me out.

Actually, I'm proud to say I got over a weird eye thing recently.
On my old organ donor card, I signed over everything but my eyes.
Even post mortem it would creep me out thinking of anyone touching my eyeballs.

When I just recently registered on the online organ donation site
I said they could have whatever they needed or whatever I was
able to give.....eyes included.

I see a blind lady every once in a while at the subway station
and to imagine getting on a subway without sight - that is so scary.
If donated eyes give someone the gift of sight,
EVERYONE should register and be an organ donor.

Ok, Adam is out right now so tired or not, I'm going to try
and take a 15 minute power nap before dinner.
