A Treasure

We started off this crisp end of summer/pre-fall morning with

a bit of a sleep in.

I started making Adam an omelet that turned into scrambled eggs when it stuck to

the bottom of the pan.  I had a yummy grilled cheese sandwich.

We then parted ways to sit in front of our computers.

Romantic isn't it?

I love to poke around the favorites and links on people's blogs that I like.

Via The Curious Pug, I landed on

My Girl Thursday that had links to her September sponsors that led me to

Scarlet Words where I watched this & was hooked.

I love it.

It is my new favorite song.

It's amazing that I can sit here in the corner of my tiny

bedroom in Toronto, click a few buttons, and be introduced

to a fascinating artist from Australia.

One Year

How time flies.

It's been one year since I started this blog.

Time passes by so much faster as I get older.

Alot has happened this past year and at the same time

alot hasn't happened.

I am confident that that which did not happen this past year

will have happened by July 31, 2012!



Why Do I Blog?

The reasons why I started and the reasons why I love it

now have changed.

I started to blog:

To keep my mind active and to improve my writing

To document our lives and share it with family and friends

To keep a record of Crockett

To become more computer literate

To impress my husband

I continue to blog because:

I have been inspired by so many women

I've become exposed to people, places and ideas I never would have otherwise

I enjoy taking photos and posting them

To express myself openly and honestly

I like looking back at my life, it helps me look forward

It's given me a voice

It's kept me optimistic

It's enjoyable and I prefer it to watching TV or killing time on Facebook.

I currently follow about 10 blogs.
