Perfect Day

It really was beautiful outside today.
Bright blue sky with white fluffy clouds.
Cool enough that Crockett could walk and walk and walk.

As soon as we got into the park, I dropped his leash
and let him walk wherever he wanted.

We were out for about an hour.
He covered the whole park.
Sniffed almost every new flower and leaf
and left his calling card for the bitches in at least 20 spots.

I of course, had my camera on me.

Crockett really does smile.
Photos I've taken of him the last month or so show
that he's getting older.
He's getting a grey face almost.

In about a month, these green danglies will be bright pink & orange.
I took a photo of them last fall.
All summer, it's just been a leafy bush.

Buzz buzz. Bees are awesome.
I saw alot of butterflies, grasshoppers and dragonflies today
but they all moved too quick for me to photograph.
Plus, it's nice sometimes to just sit & watch them flutter about.

This trail is around the edge of the park.

I can tell just how happy Crockett is when we take these walks.
If he sniffs in one place for a long time, he almost hops to the next sniffing place.

Freshly cut grass.
It smelled great in the park today.

It was almost lunch time at the end of our walk & the park was rapidly
filling up with families having picnics and wedding party photo shoots.

It was another perfect day in the life of a girl & her Pug.
